By Bus
- P4 bus: Stops directly outside the library at Haredale Road/Carnegie Library and Lowden Road/Carnegie Library.
- 42, 68 and 468: Alight at Herne Hill Road. The library is approximately a five-minute walk away. These routes are confirmed by Transport for London.
By Train
- Loughborough Junction: The nearest National Rail station, served by Thameslink. Continue on foot or take the P4 towards the library.
- Herne Hill Station: Approximately a 15-minute walk. The 68 and 468 buses also travel towards Herne Hill Road.
- Denmark Hill Station: Served by National Rail and London Overground. Take the P4 towards Haredale Road/Carnegie Library.

Brixton Underground Station is the nearest Victoria line station. From Brixton Station Road, take the P4 bus and alight at Haredale Road/Carnegie Library.
Accessibility
The accessible entrance for wheelchairs and buggies is through the side entrance on Ferndene Road, using the green door.
